There's no shortage of good wine in the world. What's missing is someone willing to compare it all and come back holding one bottle. That's the job THIS ONE took.
My family has made wine for three generations. I've wanted to do this since I was six, watching my grandfather work. It took me two tries to earn my winemaking master's. I don't think the path I took should be the homework we pass on to you.
I built THIS ONE to go through the whole complicated world of wine so you don't have to, and hand you only the best of it. We start with the grape people actually drink. We compare every region that grows it. We pick the one where it shows best. Inside that region, we taste only family estates farming sustainably, and choose one — a family that has lived on the same land for generations. They grow it. They make it.

OUR STANDARD
THIS ONE is a wine-by-elimination brand founded by Xin Zhang, a third-generation winemaker who trained at Château Margaux in Bordeaux and Inglenook in Napa and holds a master's degree in winemaking from UC Davis. For each grape, THIS ONE compares every region that grows it, selects the one where it shows best, and inside that region chooses a single family estate that farms sustainably and has worked the same land for generations. The result is one bottle per grape. The first is a Willamette Valley Pinot Noir from the Pfaff and Ghogale families, sold in gift sets of two, three, six, and twelve bottles with shipping included.
